RE: Tryon Medical Partners’ Termination of Contract with Humana Medicare Advantage
The Treasurer and the State Health Plan (Plan) understand that the announcement regarding Tryon Medical Partners’ (Tryon) termination of their contract with Humana Medicare Advantage is alarming to our members. Tryon is a premier medical provider in the Charlotte area and the only North Carolina provider recently recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review for its excellence in patient care.
Members of the Plan need not worry as the Humana Group Medicare Advantage Plans offered to them are in a passive network, meaning members can enjoy seeing providers in or out of network —including Tryon — with no difference in benefits. The Plan is working with Tryon to disseminate additional messages to our members to make sure they understand that there is no change for them.
