The State Health Plan offers a wide range of health benefits to all eligible state employees, teachers, retirees and other individuals identified in the North Carolina General Statutes. The goal of the State Health Plan is to offer more affordable health care, as well as more choices. It is the commitment of the State Health Plan to continue to focus on member needs and requests – and to develop and strengthen our offerings for your health, your wallet and your satisfaction.The State Health Plan offers three health plan designs for its members.
Blue OptionsSM PPO Plans
- Three preferred provider organization (PPO) plan designs from which to choose.
Once you've identified the plan that is right for you, submit an enrollment application.
NC Health Choice
- The State Health Plan administers the NC Health Choice program, which provides health insurance to uninsured children in North Carolina.
Indemnity Plan Archive
- The Indemnity plan is no longer an option as of July 1, 2008.
