HBR Training
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC), on behalf of the North Carolina State Health Plan, has scheduled a three-day training session for November 4 - November 6, 2008, at the BCBSNC headquarters building in Chapel Hill. The training is recommended for health benefits representatives (HBRs) and billing contacts who have been in their positions for less than two years.
The session on Tuesday, November 4, we will provide an in-depth overview of the PPO benefits and the differences between the three plans. We will also discuss completing enrollment and change forms, as well as other enrollment-related forms and bill reconciliation. Also on Tuesday, we will cover coordination of benefits. The session on Wednesday, November 5, will cover Medicare, COBRA and general information about retirement. We will conclude the training session on Thursday, November 6, with a discussion about disability retirement. Staff from the State Retirement System will facilitate the general retirement and disability retirement sessions.
The training sessions will be held at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina headquarters building on U.S. route 15/501 North in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. All sessions will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will end by 5:00 p.m. Lunch will not be provided, but there is a cafeteria on-site and other dining options nearby.
If you would like to attend this training session, please complete and return the registration form to us by October 17, 2008. In order to make these instructional sessions as effective as possible, the training session size will be limited to 40. If your registration form arrives after the cut-off date of October 17, 2008, and the sessions are full, your name will be placed on a waiting list and given priority for the next quarterly training session. Confirmations will be sent by mail to attendees after registration.
